The Women’s Veterans Day Ceremony, marking the anniversary of the signing into law the right of women to serve as other than nurses, celebrated the service and sacrifice of women in the military.

A ceremony remembering and honoring Medal of Honor recipient Marvin Glenn Shields was held on May 23, 2026. CMA3 Shields was a 1958 graduate of Port Townsend High School.

The Stand Down 2026 held at Elks Lodge 317 provided veterans and their immediate families with support and clothing.

The Wall That Heals was at the Jefferson County International Airport September 11-14, 2025. Over 8,000 visited it while it was here. Post 7498 VFW is honored to have been one of the sponsors.
